Merry Christmas Mark and Mike!! Every opinion column should have two sides. I totally disagree with Mike. Bowl games are awesome and provide so much to the college landscape. There are a lot of games but what great way for a student/athlete to end his football career. For fans/students/parents it is an opportunity to visit other parts of our great nation. For the community it is an opportunity to showcase themselves and get some income and for some bowls make donations to charities. Coaches enjoy the added practice time. I am an admitted college football junkie(inspite of going downhill with the portal and NIL) and bowls (inspite of optouts). I wish they would spread them out a little better during the week I so wouldn't have to use my IPad to watch 2 games at the same time. With the coming expanded playoffs hopefully they have more occur during the week. Thanks for the space Mark.
