Salem’s NPJ 16 National Volleyball Squad plays well, falls in the semifinals
A colossal national volleyball tournament yielded outstanding results for a Salem-based club team. Salem’s NPJ 16 National team advanced all the way to the semifinals of the Girls Junior National Championship (GJNC) in Chicago. The Salem National team fell in the semis to TAV 16 Platinum out of Dallas, Texas, 25-23, 25-19.
The North Pacific Juniors Club team—coached by Kaycie Lilly of Dallas HS, with assistance from AJ Francis out of Linn Benton CC, started slow in pool play, but won six of their last seven games to advance in the “Gold Bracket.”
